An integrated developer and operator of purpose-built residential communities, PLATFORM_ has recently completed its latest high quality complex in the heart of Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
With 335 units over three buildings, offering a range of accommodation from studios to three bedroom apartments, residents also have access to a gym, lounge and outdoor terraces. The interior design team at PLATFROM_ wanted to create a desirable contemporary look that was interesting with a welcoming homely feel. Inspired by the forward thinking approach of this modern city and rugged wild landscapes of the surrounding Peak District, the result is naturally stylish and comfortable with a high end finish.

The concept
Apartments throughout the development have different colour schemes, including floor finish, kitchen cabinet colours and in some, feature walls. Inspired by the local environment, organic colour palettes were built around three focal colours: forest green, stormy blue and warm terracotta.
Aleks Dineva, design and mobilisation coordinator at Platform_, explained: “When the team was debating potential colour schemes, we realised there was no scheme which was our overall favourite, everyone had a different preference. So we decided to go with different colour schemes throughout the development to offer our clients a choice, something that proved popular with each scheme leasing very similarly.”

The look
In each apartment block, the bold colours are combined with statement lighting and softly curved furniture. The natural theme is picked up again in the Karndean LooseLay oak design flooring, laid in either straight lay or herringbone patterns, which provides a comfortable yet practical surface.
