Certifications, standards and EPDs

We are a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. Our products can earn LEED v4 points in two categories:

MR (Materials and Resources)
We have product-specific EPDs, which report objective third party-verified data about a product’s environmental impact based on its life cycle.

EQ (Indoor Environmental Quality)
Products are FloorScore® certified

Our flooring products are FloorScore® certified for post-installation indoor air quality, with independent testing proving them to be very low emitting in volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Our adhesives are either water-based or solvent-free with very low VOC emissions.

FloorScore® certification allows our products to be used for WELL v2 projects.

Most products are certified to NSF/ANSI 332, the foremost U.S. standard by which to evaluate and verify sustainability of floor coverings across the entire product life cycle.

Our rigid core products are ASSURE CERTIFIED™ by the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) and SCS Global Services, ensuring the flooring was manufactured to the highest standards and meets all the requirements for indoor air quality, rigorous performance, low heavy metals and free of ortho-phthalates content.

Our products are manufactured in purpose-built factories certified to the ISO 14001 environmental standard, which provides a framework for measuring and reducing environmental impact, from facility water usage to eco-friendly product packaging.

Our flooring products are in compliance with California Proposition 65, free from chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Products are free from heavy metals, BPA, formaldehyde and unsafe phthalates.

Our products are included in the mindful MATERIALS database, which provides environmental information for architects, designers and contractors.
